Yolanda S. Gutierrez

Yolanda Sanchez Guiterrez entered into eternal peace and rest on the 4th of November 2024 at the age of 84. Yoli was born August 27, 1940, to Eberto and Delfina Sanchez in Santa Rosa, TX. Yoli is preceded in death by her parents Eberto and Delfina Sanchez, sisters Elia Sanchez and Bertha Quiroga, brother-in-law Leandro Quiroga Sr. and her 3 sons Guadalupe Gutierrez, and her twins Homero David Gutierrez and Omar Hector Gutierrez.

Yoli lived her early years in Santa Rosa, TX with her parents and sister, they relocated to San Antonio after her father was discharged after serving in the Army after WWII. In the early 1950s family then moved to Detroit, Michigan where her parents worked for several years before moving back to San Antonio. In 1959 she graduated from Our Lady of the Lake High School. After high school, Yoli completed a bookkeeping and accounting course then she worked as a teller at Westside Bank in downtown San Antonio for several years. Yoli then married Homero Gutierrez and moved to Rio Grande City, TX, raised her family, lived and worked for her remaining years.

She will be remembered as a compassionate, loving, supportive, kind and gentle soul who loved her children and family.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Maribel Gutierrez, Grandchildren: Nicole Danielle Gutierrez, Ashley Marie Gutierrez, Omar Gutierrez, Luis David Gutierrez, Josue Daniel Gutierrez, Judah Manasseh Gutierrez, Yolanda Jazmin Gutierrez and Amada Sharai Gutierrez.

Great Grandchildren: Alberto "Betito" Garza Jr., Cambria Lasalle, Elijah Tillitson, Layton Gutierrez, Max Gutierrez, Amelia Gutierrez, Abraham Gutierrez, Julian Harris.

Sister: Sandra Sanchez Cantu (Pete)

Nephews and Nieces: Leandro M. Quiroga Jr., (+ Olivia), Elia S. Quiroga, Roel S. Quiroga (Carmen), Cynthia S. Castillo (Gonzalo), Andrew Lynn Quiroga (Rebecca), Bianca Lynnette Ramos, Jorge Enrique Ledezma, Moxy Rose Ledezma and numerous great nieces and nephews.
