Sylvia Garcia

Sylvia Garcia departed to Heaven on November 4, 2022. She was born to Severiano and Conrada Garcia of Rio Grande City, Texas on September 19, 1937. Sylvia grew up in a very loving and happy family. She loved all of her siblings very much and they all shared a very deep bond with each other. Her parents taught her the importance of being a hard worker and she did just that. She would put all of her heart into anything she set her mind to. Sylvia worked for several years at Retama Manor in Rio Grande City, Texas. Though Sylvia never married or had children of her own she touched the lives of her nieces and nephews in such a way that they considered her their second mom. She was present when many of her nieces and nephews were born and adored each and every one of them. Sylvia loved children very much. She was a very giving and loving person. She would give all she could when she knew someone needed help. Sylvia loved music and enjoyed singing and dancing just like her father did. Her family fondly remembers her having a “green thumb.” She could plant any kind of plant and it would flourish. She loved gardening especially when it came to her roses which were always gorgeous. Sylvia also liked animals very much. She had numerous pets over the years and loved each and every one of them. The world will seem a little less bright because of the loss of such a beautiful light that was Sylvia but it was also made better for having had her in it. Sylvia is survived by her sisters Eliza Garcia, Zulema Montejano, Maria Elia Guerra and her brother, Severiano Garcia Jr.

RIO~ SYLVIA GARCIA WAS CALLED TO BE WITH THE LORD ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 04, 2022. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. SANCHEZ FUNERAL HOME OF RIO GRANDE CITY WILL BE TAKING CARE OF HER FUNERAL ARRANGMENTS.
