Socorro “Socorrito” Chavez

Rio Grande City - Socorrito 86, was a lifetime resident of Rio Grande City. She entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 7, 2021, in Edinburg, Tx. Socorrito was preceded in death by her parents Roberto and Gabina Ortiz, her husband Jesus Chávez and son Martín Roberto Chávez;

Socorrito is survived by her son, Jesus Chávez, and daughters MaryLou Garza and Natalia Peña, 10-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Immaculate Conception Church at 2:00 followed by Burial at Rio Grande Cemetery.  

Funeral services are under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home, Río Grande City, Tx
