Sinforosa Barrera

Escobares-Sinforosa E. Barrera,91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 11, 2014 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. She was born in Escobares, Texas on December 17, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ruben G. Barrera.
Mrs. Barrera is survived by one son Gilbert Lee (Annette) Barrera, four daughters Belinda (David) Anders, Imelda (Gilbert) Pena, Anita (Nick) Pena and Sylvia (Cesar) Castaneda, one brother Crecensio Escobar, Jr. and 2 sisters Josefina Escobar and Maria Guadalupe Villarreal, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Visitations will begin Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m.. Mass will be recited at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 15,2014 at Sagrado Corazon de Jesus in Escobares. Burial will follow at Escobares Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Amara Hospice services and their staff for the loving compassion they showed our mother. Also her caregiver Ofelia Bin for the care and love she gave our mom.
