San Juanita B. Garcia

San Juanita Blanco, 67, a resident of Rio Grande City, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2018 at Mission Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Amelia Blanco, brother Hector Blanco, and her sister Teresa Garcia. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Alfredo Garcia; her children, Sandra Garcia Barrera (Lazaro), Alfredo Garcia, Jr. (Johanna), and Jessica Lopez (Gerardo); her grandchildren Alexis J. Diaz, Lazaro Barrera, Jr., Shania L. Barrera, Alexandra N. Barrera, Frederick G. Garcia, Gerardo Lopez, Jr., Naiva M. Lopez, and Dante U. Lopez.; sisters, Maria Contreras and Martha Perez; brothers, Ernesto Blanco, and Ramon Blanco Jr., and numerous nieces, and nephews. 

San Juanita, fondly known as “Tita” by her grandchildren, was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed cheering on her Washington Redskins. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. 

The viewing will be today, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. to 9:00P.M.  We will continue viewing on Thursday, 8:00A.M. to 9:45 A.M.  Her Funeral Mass will be held at  Iglesia Emanuel Church in Rio Grande City, Texas. Burial will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery. Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City will be in charge of her funeral arrangements.
