Rosa R. Valdez

Rosa R. Valdez, age 85, of New Braunfels, Texas, joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 22, 2025. Rosa was born February 14, 1939, in Rio Grande City, Texas to Jose and Rosaura Ramirez. 

Rosa grew up in Rio Grand City and graduated in 1959. At the age of 23 she married Reynaldo Valdez and was married for 35 years. Rosa spent most of her life working at her family-owned business, Royal Cleaners, in Rio Grande City. 

Reynaldo and Rosa had two children, a son Reynaldo Valdez Jr. (wife Sarah) and a daughter, San Juanita Gonzalez (husband Daniel). Rosa is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Rosa entered the gates of Heaven, welcomed by the pride and joy of her life, her grandson Michael Valdez. Rosa’s life centered around raising, enjoying, and doting on Michael. She cared for his every need and want until his passing. She also loved her roses and plants as well. 

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson and 3 sisters (Belia R. Garza, Anita R. Alvarez and Minerva Ramirez)

Rosa’s Visitation will be Monday January 27th, from 1:00pm until 8:00pm, at Sanchez Funeral Home, Rio Grande City, Texas. Rosary will be from 6pm to 8pm. 

Rosa’s funeral will be held Tuesday January 28th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City at 11am.
