Querubin Guerra Jr.

Querubin Guerra Jr., 80, of Garciasville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at McAllen Medical Center.

He was born to Querubin Guerra Sr. and Martina Guerra, both of whom preceded him in death. Querubin is survived by his beloved wife, Maria G. Guerra, whom he married on May 13, 1967. He leaves behind three children: Jorge Luis Guerra (Norma), Querubin Guerra III, and Roberto Carlos Guerra (Dania). He also cherished his grandchildren: Anthony Guerra, Alex Guerra (Faynna), and Danica Faith Guerra.

Querubin was a proud graduate of Rio High School, class of 1963, and attended El Faro School. His career began as a Service Automotive Manager at Woolco, and later, he worked as a farm truck driver. Outside of work, Querubin was passionate about BBQing, fishing, and gambling.

In addition to his immediate family, Querubin is survived by his three brothers and one sister: Alfa Omega Rendon (Casimiro +), Hilario Guerra (Gregoria +), Manuel Humberto Guerra (Graciela), and Jesus Guerra (Juanita) and 11 nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Rio Grande City ~ Querubin Guerra Jr., 80, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Mcallen Medical Center in Mcallen, TX. Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX.
