Miguel Angel Mascorro Sr.
ROMA- Miguel Angel Mascorro Sr., 52, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Christus Santa Rosa West Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home of Roma will be in charge of his funeral arrangements.
Miguel Angel Mascorro, Sr., of Roma, Tx, joined our Heavenly Father peacefully on August 29, 2013 in San Antonio, TX after a brief and sudden illness. He was surrounded by his wife, children, sisters, and family members. Born in Cd. Mier Tamaulipas, Mx, Miguel lived most of his life in Roma, TX.
Miguel, known as Mike to many, graduated from Roma High School in 1979 and joined the Police Academy. He was a proud member of the Starr County Sherriff's Department for 12 years. After retiring from the force, Mike worked as a substitute teacher for Roma ISD, a Water Plant Operator for the City of Roma, and office manager for Quik Auto Service. Mike loved life and LIFE loved Mike! Wherever he went, joy followed. Mike thoroughly enjoyed sports, music, and anything outdoors. His echoes will forever resonate as the Spurs and his Beloved Cowboys play. "Oh what a wonderful world," he would sing.
Mike met his wife Candi in 7th grade and they joined holy matrimony on August 06, 1982. Together they raised two wonderful children Alex and Mike, Jr. Mike's pride and joy were his children. Whether he was coaching little league for his son or attending band concerts with his daughter, everywhere his children were, you would find Mike. He absolutely loved spending time with his sisters, brother, friends, and extended family.
