ROMA - Maria Elena Guerra entered into her Eternal resting place early Thursday morning on May 1st, 2014. 62, died Thursday, May 01, 2014 at Rio Grande Nursing and Rehab. Center in Rio Grande City, Texas. Her love of life and laughter didn't end in death. She will now reunite with her beloved parents in the Kingdom of God.

She is preceded in death by her father Jose Lino Guerra and mother Maria E. Guerra. Maria Elena Guerra entered into her Eternal resting place early Thursday morning on May 1st, 2014. Maria Elena was born on April 29th, 1962 and was raised in San Jose Ranch where her love of animals and the outdoors is where she found true happiness. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Julio Guerra (Bertha) Fronton, Tx, Eloisa Munoz (Alberto) Helotes, Tx, Refugia Gonzalez (Lauro) Roma, Tx , Jose Israel Guerra (Laura) San Jose Ranch, Tx, and her 10 nieces and 1 nephew, Cindi, Lorena, Melissa, Betsy, Ervay, Bonnie, Heather, Jennifer, Lisa, Brenda, and Vicky. She is also survived by her numerous great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A Special Thank You to the friends and family of Rio Grande City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their unconditional support and love they provided Maria Elena.




Mass will be at 10 a.m. on May 3, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Escobares. Burial will follow at Escobares Cemetery. Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home of Roma is in charge of arrangements.
