Maria Elodia Cruz

Maria Elodia Cruz was called home to the Lord on February 5, 2022, after a

courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones when

she peacefully slipped into her eternal rest.

Maria Elodia joins her parents, Wilfrido and Lydia Garza, and her sister,

Blanca Alvarez, in the Lord’s kingdom. Left to cherish her memories are

her son, David (Elsa) Cruz Jr., daughter, Dee D. Cruz, her beloved

grandchildren Dianira Cruz, David Cruz III, Dariana Cruz, Daisy Saenz,

Adan Saenz, Alejandro Montes, and Deandra Diaz, her sister, Melba Estrada

and brother, Ricardo Saul Garza.

The celebration of life viewing will commence on Tuesday, February 8,

2022, 1 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home in

Roma. A viewing will continue on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 8 a.m. -

9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at Santa Rosa de Lima

Church, La Rosita. Burial will follow at La Paz Cemetery.
