Obituary for Luisa Alicia Rodriguez
Luisa Alicia Rodriguez
Luisa Alicia Rodriguez was born on June 21, 1935 and lived in Rio Grande City for most of her life. She was called to be with God on Monday, August 2, 2021, passing in her sleep. Luisa was a paraprofessional and teacher aide with the Rio Grande City School system and retired to care for her mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus M. Rodriguez and Antonio O. Rodriguez. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Jesus “Chucho” Rodriguez + [Brenda Rodriguez+], brother, Jaime Rodriguez+ [Frances Rodriguez], and sister, Margarita R. Guerra+ [Lucio S. Guerra, Jr.+]. Survivors include 2 sisters, Socorro R. Pedraza [Beto Pedraza +] and Zulema “Chule” R. Saenz [Armando Saenz +] and many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed but she is now in the presence of the family that she had missed so much. Affectionately known as “Licha” or “La Teacher” she was remembered by many students and faculty in Rio Grande City. May she rest in peace.
