Jose Antonio Flores peacefully passed away at the age of 77. He was born on June 25, 1941 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Antonio Flores Jr. and Emilia Salinas
Flores. Jose Antonio graduated from Rio Grande City High School and Texas A & I University. Jose Antonio was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and loyal friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leonel T. Flores Sr. Jose Antonio is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Maria Ramona Flores, sons, Jose Antonio Jr. (Elizabeth), Javier Aaron (Maricela), Jorge Arturo (Dora), brother Romeo T. Flores, and sister Eliza F. Garcia. He enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren Tony III, Javier Jr.,
Jessica, Joel, Sofia, Lucia, and Jorge Jr., as well as with family and friends. He was a teacher for 25 years and retired from Rio Grande City School District. Although
his profession was a school teacher, his greatest passion was the farm and ranch life and would always joke that he was a part time teacher and a full time rancher. He served his country in the Army Reserve and he was currently serving his third term as a board member for the Farm Service Agency (FSA)
