Jorge Flores

Jorge Flores, 49, of La Grulla, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025. Born on September 10, 1975, in McAllen, Texas, Jorge was the beloved son of Ramiro Jaime Flores and Yolanda Flores. Jorge lived a life filled with purpose and passion. Known for his unwavering dedication to achieving his dreams, he made a meaningful impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind heart and warm presence will be dearly missed. Jorge achieved many milestones throughout his life. He pursued his passion for helping others by completing nursing school to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). He also obtained his Commercial Driving License (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement, a testament to his hard work and determination. Jorge loved spending time with his family, often hosting big cookouts at the house, which were filled with laughter, love, and great food. He had a deep passion for trucks and cars, especially his red trucks, which he loved to modify and perfect. In his free time, Jorge enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors, creating cherished memories with his loved ones. One of Jorge’s proudest accomplishments was making it to the finals of the South Texas International Film Festival (STX IFF) with his movie TOBOR: The Ultimate Battle. This achievement showcased his creativity and passion for storytelling, leaving a lasting legacy of his artistic talents. Jorge is survived by his loving parents, Ramiro Jaime Flores and Yolanda Flores; and the love of his life Cynthia Muñoz, his siblings, Jaime Flores and Lizelle Flores; and his nephews and nieces: Zenon Flores, Balerio Andrade III, Jorgie Flores, Delyssa Becerra, David Becerra III and Jaime Homero Flores. He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held at Sanchez Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation continues on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, going to Holy Family Church in La Grulla at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Ruben Solis Cemetery in La Grulla at 12:00 PM.
