Joe David Lozano, died Monday March 17, 2014 at his home at La Victoria Ranch surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in La Grulla, Texas on July 23, 1928. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruno and Maria Lozano, brothers Hector and Eleazar Lozano all from La Grulla.

He is survived by two sisters Elva (Elijio) Guzman La Victoria, and Gracie (Manuel) Guerra of McAllen, four brothers Harold (Tere), Cesar (Irma), Bruno Angel (Celinda) Lozano of La Victoria, and Omar Lozano of McAllen. His niece Melinda Lozano and many other nieces and nephews.

Joe went to school at Grulla High School and graduated from Rio Grande City High School. He then joined the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and then went to work for NASA in the Electronics Division. He was a W.W. II veteran, after that he came home and opened Radio and T.V. Hospital in Rio Grande City for about 20 years. Joe was a very humble man, loving brother, uncle and friend. Special thanks to his niece and provider, Melinda Lozano, who took great care of him for the last several years until the end. Also special thanks to Angelica Home Health and Paxvilla Home Hospice.

Visitation will start today, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Sanchez Funeral Home from 12 noon to 9:00 pm. His Burial service will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas at 10:00 am. Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City will be in charge of his funeral services.
