Javier A. Cruz

Rio Grande City - Javier Cruz passed into the Lord’s hands peacefully with his son JC by his side, on March 1st. 2025, at the age of 56. He was born May 29th, 1968 in McAllen, TX, to the Late Carlos and Hortencia Cruz from Delmita, TX. He graduated from San Isidro High School Class of 86 and attended TSTI in Harlingen. He was passionate about fishing and hunting. “Mi Coyotitio” as his mother affectionately called him, was an amazing marksman. Donde ponía el ojo ponía la bala, during any hunting season. Always harvesting the max. He is also preceded in death by his baby son Jacob Cruz, brother +Hector Cruz (Adela), and Sister +Graciela Cruz Muñoz (+Humberto). Left to cherish his memory are his son Javier Cruz, Jr. and 2 grandsons Victor and Jacob, and his siblings: Hermelinda C. Laurel (CP Laurel), Carlos Cruz, Jr. (Olivia), Jaime Cruz (Celia), Rosie C. Canchola (Israel), together with numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.
