Our beloved Hernan Chapa passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022, at his home in Fresno, Texas.  Hernan was the best father/grandfather that we were so lucky and blessed to have.  Our lives will be filled with his loving memories.

Hernan, 82, was born on July 31, 1939, to Manuel and Ramona G. Chapa in Salineño, Texas. 

Hernan is survived by his wife, Amanda G. Chapa; his children, Gabriel Chapa, Ricardo Chapa, and Diana C. Garcia; his grandchildren; Gabriel Chapa, Manuel Chapa, Ricardo Chapa Jr., Jayden Garcia, Damian Chapa, and Gianna Garcia; his great-grandchild, Grayson Chapa; his brothers, Beto Chapa and Ruben Chapa; his sisters, Lilia Sandoval, Dube Rodriguez, Annie Gonzalez, and Coty Garcia; nieces, nephews, cousins, and the countless friends and lives he touched throughout his life.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Ignacia Canales.

Services are as follows: At Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Roma, TX.

• Visitation from 8:00 – 9:30 am
• St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salineño, Texas – 10:00 am
• Burial will take place at Salineño Cemetery immediately the following mass
