Guadalupe P Trevino

In the early morning of February 15, 2018, Guadalupe Peña Treviño peacefully entered into eternal rest to be with our heavenly father and rejoice in the Kingdom of Heaven. Lupita, or Granny, was born to Reynaldo Peña and Josefa Ramirez de Peña on February 24, 1928 in Guerra, Texas, commonly known as "El Colorado", the home town she loved and honored until the day she passed. She was a 1946 graduate of Rio Grande City High School, after which she worked at the Roma Port of Entry as a health inspector until she married her loving husband Jose Ernesto Treviño Sr. in 1949. Lupita then worked with the Rio Grande City school district as a teacher's assisstant and retired after 19 years in 1997. She was a devoute Catholic her entire life. Along with her religious beliefs, she always shared her love for her hobbies with her family, especially that of baking, cooking, arts and crafts, and making Easter Eggs.
She is preceded in death by her cherished parents and loving husband, her beloved siblings Amando Peña Sr. (Cleotilde+) and Placida Peña Barrera (Reymundo+), and her adored sons Jose Ernesto Treviño Jr. and Leo Derly Treviño Sr. Her memory shall be carried on by her survivors, adored children, Dr. Elva Eva "Maye" Trevino, Patsy Ann "Baby" Trevino, Jose Jaime "Tochito" Trevino Sr. (Ruby) and daughter-in-law Ismelda Lopez Trevino, along with her grandchildren, who she was so proud of, Maribel, Celeste, Leo Jr. Jaime Jr. Michael, Anna and Joey, as well as, 9 great-grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Vanessa, Hailey, Valerie, Mikey, Lily, Luke, and Levi, and her nieces and nephews who always had a place in her heart and their picture on her mirror.
