ESTEBAN LOPEZ

La Casita – Esteban Falcon Lopez, 76, was born in McAllen, TX on December 23, 1944 and entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2021, at DHR in Edinburg, TX.

He was a devoted, religious, and most loving man who cared deeply for others. He loved dancing and spending time caring for his brood of chickens and harvesting their eggs. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his most cherished grandchildren and his youngest son, Eric. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Enriqueta Falcon Lopez; and a brother, Manuel Lopez, Jr.

Esteban is survived by his long time partner, Celia Martinez; two sons, Eric (Mayra) Lopez, Esteban (Elizabeth) Lopez, Jr. of Rio Grande City, TX; one step-daughter, Cynthia Bazan of Manor, TX; two step-sons, Tomas (Elena) Bazan, and Michael A. Bazan of Rio Grande City, TX; a brother, Omar (Eileen) Lopez of McAllen; sister, Gloria Villarreal; and his most beloved grandchildren.

He will be missed tremendously, and his memory will live on forever in the numerous lives he touched.

Graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at La Paz Cemetery in Rio Grande City.

Funeral services are under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City.
