Elva M. Trevino

Elva Montalvo Trevino passed over into the arms of the Lord on September 7, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. Elva was born and raised in Fronton to Ramon and Marcela (Pena) Montalvo. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Guillermo, son Luis, father Ramon, mother Marcela Montalvo, brother Roberto Montalvo, sisters Marcela Riojas (Nicolas), Nelsa M. Solis, in-laws father Guillermo Trevino, mother Andrea Saenz, step-father Agapito Saenz, beloved sister-in-law Martina Saenz, and Lucio Gonzalez. Elva is survived by dedicated daughter Maricela Trevino-Pena, daughter-in-law Maureen Trevino, grandchildren  Mauro Adolio Pena, Roberto Luis Trevino, Nelsa Pilar Pena and Helena Marie Trevino, sisters Elma (Dario) Trevino, Lydia Elgueseba, brother-in-law Jose Carlos Saenz (Lydia), sister-in-law Maria Albina Gonzalez and beloved nephews and nieces and.countless friends and people with whom she worked.

Elva (Granny) was a wonderful woman of grace, dignity, and beauty. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and devoted countless hours to Holy Family Catholic Church in Los Saenz. She enjoyed nature, birds, and took pride in her home, children, and especially loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was loved and respected for her 35 years of hard work in the retail industry.

Viewing will be held at Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Los Saenz on Monday, September 10 from 1:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 11 at 10:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Ruben D. Trevino, Joel Montalvo, Marin Lopez, Norberto Cantu III, Juan Carlos Saenz, and Lucio Eden Gonzalez Jr. Interment will follow Mass at the Los Saenz Cemetery
