RIO GRANDE CITY / SUGAR LAND - Elida R. Garza, 93, died at her home in Sugar Land, Texas. Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City will be in charge of her funeral services.

Elida R. Garza, 93, went to be with the Lord on July 07, 2017. She was surrounded by her family. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by husband, Toribio B. Garza, and daughters: Ma. Estela G. Guajardo (Manuel), Ma. Emilda G. Acevedo (Tirso), and Elizabeth G. San Miguel (Juan).

Elida is survived by her daughter Ma. Elena (Jesus Cruz), Ma. Elma G. Arredondo (Erasmo), Ester G. Gonzalez (Dennis), and one son Eladio Garza (Rosie), her 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, and her sister, Maria R. Trevino.

Visitation started on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 1pm - 9pm, with a Rosary at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be today, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00am, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rio Grande City. Burial will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery. All Funeral arrangements are under the care of Sanchez Funeral Home of Rio Grande City.
