Dolores Perez

1925-2018

                On April 21, 2018, Dolores Perez joined her Lord and Savior at the age of 93. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a woman of great faith in her Creator and a proud member of La Grulla Holy Family Church. When she could not physically attend mass, she worshipped quietly in her bedroom. In her own strong but quiet way, she was intensely and constantly connected to her faith in God. She had no fear of life on earth and had complete faith in her life she would live in Heaven when her time here was done.

                Dolores was born in La Grulla, Texas, on March 28, 1925. She was the daughter of Luis Longoria and Florinda Fonceca. She was raised by Martin Trillayes and Angelita Solis. She married Adan Perez. Dolores and Adan built a proud legacy of 11 children, 34 grandchildren,  58 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Adan, by her parents, her sons, Matilde (Evelina+) and Roel (Natalia), her granddaughters Velma Lee Perez and Melissa Garza, and great-grandson Antonio Miranda. She is survived by her children, Dora Garza (Honorio+), Evelia Flores, Adan Jr. Perez (Amelia), Lucila Solis, Eva Sandoval, Serapio Perez, Gilberto Perez (Blanca), Martina Cantu (Reymundo), her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; all who patiently await the day they will be with her again in Heaven.

                Visitation will be Monday, April 23rd, at Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., 7 p.m. Holy Rosary. Her Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at La Grulla, Holy Family Church, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ruben Solis Cemetery.
