D Locker Munsell
D. Locker Munsell, age 91 born December 21, 1925 passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Solara at McAllen Medical Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Ruth Shuford Munsell, his parents Charlie and Lorena Munsell and his sister Florine Atchison.
He is survived by his children Debra (Apollo) Flynn of Sandia, Charles (Melissa) Munsell of San Antonio, Raymond (Rose) Munsell of Rio Grande City, Jane (Mike) Allison of Roosevelt, Arthur (Charly) Munsell of Corpus Christi, 11 very loved grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and also by his sister Libby (BC) Hulett of Fredericksburg.
He was a Navy WWII Veteran on the USS Hope Hospital Ship and a Livestock Inspector Supervisor until his retirement after 35 years of service. He and his wife Dorothy and his family were members of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. After retirement he remained in Rio Grande City and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
