Armando Acevedo

Rio Grande City - Armando (Skeeter) Luis Acevedo 51, was called home by the Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 26, 2012.
Armando was born in Rio Grande City, TX to Ovidio and Anita Acevedo on September 1, 1960. He was the fifth of eight siblings. Armando was a generous and hard working man who set a good example to his children and others. He served in the United States Army for 20 years and he worked in the Oil Fields for 12 years.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruno Acevedo, Eustolia McKee Acevedo, John Kramer and Petra Leija Kramer.
Surviving are his wife, sons and daughter: Elizabeth Flores Acevedo, Alto Bonito, Armando Luis Acevedo Jr., Bruno Dwayne Acevedo of La Grulla, TX and Lina Acevedo of La Grulla, TX Mark Flores Acevedo (whom he raised as his own) of Alto Bonito, seven brothers and sisters, Ovidio R. Acevedo Jr. (Patricia) of San Antonio, TX, Mario E. Acevedo (Veronica) of Rio Grande City, TX, Alberto J. Acevedo (Dora) of Pharr, TX, Yolanda A. Garza (Alberto) of Pharr, TX, Johnny Acevedo of San Antonio, TX, Cynthia A. Montalvo (Jorge) of Garciasville, TX and Dolly A. Hernandez (Reveriano) of Sharyland, Mission,TX, five grandchildren whom he loved dearly, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Armando Acevedo Jr., Bruno Acevedo, Reveriano Hernandez,
The family will be receiving friends 11:00 A.M. from 9:00 P.M. at Sanchez Funeral Home located in Rio Grande City, TX. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Procession will depart the funeral home on August 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. to the Immaculate Conception Church for funeral service to begin at -time--. Interment will follow in Ruben Solis Cemetery, La Grulla, TX.
Armando will forever live in the hearts of all those he loved and touched. We all will miss him dearly.
