Ana Maria Saenz Alvarez

Ana Maria S Alvarez, 97, passed away on April 7, 2021, in Roma Texas. She was born on April 9, 1923, in Rio Grande City, Texas to Pablo A. Saenz and Ana Maria Saenz Valverde from Rio Grande City, Texas. Ana Maria worked as a Special Education Teacher for Roma ISD until her retirement from service in 2009. As a pastime, Ana Maria loved to spend time tending to her flowers in her garden.  She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, Reymundo. Alvarez, siblings Pablo A. Saenz Jr, Severiano D. Saenz, and Osbaldo A. Saenz.

Ana Maria is survived by her son, Reymundo Alvarez Jr (Elena)., daughters Migdalia Mirtha Echavarria (Gary), Melissa Myra Salinas (Leonel+), and Miroslava Marcia Fleming (Timothy). Her siblings Eulalia Sanchez, Sabina Santoscoy, and Javier R. Saenz, her beloved grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, at Sanchez Funeral Home in Roma, Texas. Rosary will be held on Thursday at 5:00 pm. Visitation will continue Friday, April 9, 2021, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral mass following at 1:30 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Roma City Cemetery
