Alicia Benavidez Panzarino

Alicia Benavidez Panzarino passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at her residence in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX surrounded by her family at the age of 63. She leaves behind her husband, Michael Panzarino; her daughter, Allison Barker; her son, Vincent Michael Panzarino and the joy of her life Luciana "Lulu' Perez, her only granddaughter.
Alicia is survived by her brothers, Jose Benavidez and Robert (Glenda) Benavidez; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel P. (Elsa) Benavidez and her brother Manuel "Meme" (Rosario) Benavidez, Jr.
Alicia was a driven, brave, iron-willed professional that served as a US Immigration and Customs Special Agent under the Department of Homeland Security since 1975 until her retirement in 2009. Even after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness. Although she traveled the world, her heart remained in Texas where she and her family returned to in 2007.
Viewing for Alicia will take place beginning today, Friday, March 10, 2017, from 10:00am to 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 9:00am to 11:00am followed by a church service at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Grulla, Texas at 12:00p.m. at which point services will conclude.
