Alicia G Canales

On May 23^rd, 2023 Alicia Canales from Falcon Heights, Tx. went to her final resting place at the age of 93yrs. Alicia was born on April 18, 1930 in Chapeño, Tx to Cornelio and Cecilia Garcia. Alicia married Polo, her beloved husband on Dec. 19, 1945. They had 10 children in the 70 yrs. of marriage. She was a very loving, considerate and generous woman, she made many sacrifices for her children. 

Alicia is survived by her children: Daniel(Rita) Canales, Cecilia(Daniel) Kresty, Ernestine Allgire, Leopoldo Jr.(Annabel), Idalia (Herbert) Treviño, Noe F. (Sylvia) Canales, Glenn (Rachel) Canales. 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 

She is preceded by 2 of her daughters, Edelimira and Alma Rosa.

She loved sewing and reading countless books. She loved watching hummingbirds flying outside her living room window and she also loved gardening.

We miss her dearly.

ROMA~ALICIA G. CANALES, 93, WAS CALLED TO BE WITH THE LORD ON MAY 23, 2023 AT EDINBURG NURSING AND REHAB. IN EDINBURG, TX. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. SANCHEZ MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME OF ROMA, TX WILL BE TAKING CARE OF ALL FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.
