Carlos Alberto Rex

Rio Grande City – Carlos Alberto Rex, 102, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Starr County Memorial Hospital in Rio Grande City, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife of over 50 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He is survived by his five children, Carla, Bayardo (Thelma), Hugo (Gloria) Rossana, and Yvonne, nine grandchildren, Abel (Isabel) Zena, Aisha (Greg), Hugo, Jacquelyn (Brooks), Jocelyn, Kristen(Tho), Alex and Jennifer and seven great-grandchildren, Greg, Cruz, Sofia, Luca, Coralee, Ariella, and David. He was a man of many self-taught talents who enjoyed helping his neighbors or anyone who asked for his help without any expectations in return. He also believed that no matter the problem there was always a solution to everything. Visitation will be held from 5 pm-8 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2022, with a Rosary at 6 pm at Sanchez Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 pm at the Immaculate Conception Church in Rio Grande City followed by Interment at St John’s Cemetery in Rio Grande City.
