AGUSTINA Q. SANCHEZ
RIO GRANDE CITY – Agustina Q. Sanchez, 86, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX surrounded by her loved ones. Agustina was born in Matehuala, Mexico on September
25, 1936 to Bernabe Quiroz and Martina Castillo. She immigrated to Rio Grande City, TX at a very young age
and worked for a family in order to help support her siblings. On June 5, 1955, she married Ramon C. Sanchez from
Rio Grande City. Agustina was a devoted wife and mother who worked several years for R.G.C.C.I.S.D. and enjoyed
cooking and serving students. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Sanchez, Sr.; her parents: Bernabe and Martina Castillo Quiroz; her siblings: Josefina Macias Castillo, Abelino Quiroz, Honorio Quiroz, Lourdes Quiroz, Miguel Quiroz, Feliciano Quiroz, and Arnulfo Quiroz; as well as their eldest daughter: Maria Celeste S. Valdez. She is survived by her siblings: Maria de la luz Castaneda, Felipe Quiroz, Angelina Benavides, and Maria del Rosario Alcocer; her loving children: Ramon (Noelia) Sanchez, Jr., Luis A. (Cynthia), Maria del Socorro (Leonardo) Lopez, Maricela (Armando) Rodriguez, Jose Manuel (Sandra) Sanchez, and Ana Guadalupe (Hoss) Castillo; by her 16 grandchildren and 19 great-
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory forever.
Her family would like to thank her primary care doctor: Dr. Roberto Gonzalez in Rio Grande City, her
wound care doctor: Dr. Maria D. Aguinaga, and Verge Home Health nursing staff for their care, support, and
compassion. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sanchez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX.
RIO~AGUSTINA SANCHEZ, 86, WAS CALLED TO BE WITH THE LORD ON MAY 12, 2023 AT MISSION REGIONAL HOSPTIAL. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. SANCHEZ FUNERAL HOME OF RIO GRANDE CITY, TX WILL BE TAKING CARE OF HER FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.
