Aguinaldo “Borrado” Perez, 78, of El Sauz, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2023 after a 2-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born in El Sauz, Texas on January 19, 1945. He loved ranching and tinkering with stuff. There was nothing that he could not fix or build, despite not graduating from high school. No se le dificultaba nada. Anyone that knew Borrado, knew that he could be counted on. Ranchers came from everywhere to have him fix their machinery when even trained mechanics couldn’t.
Always with a cigarette and a beer in his hand, no matter the time of day. Y siempre con sus Levi’s, camisas de broche, paños blancos, and his western boots. Any time you asked how he was doing, he responded, “ATM” - a toda madre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Evelin (Riojas) Perez, his parents, Reynaldo Perez and Lorenza (Villarreal) Perez, his brother, Horacio Perez and his sisters, Lydia (Perez) Garza, and Belia (Perez) Soliz. He leaves behind six (6) children: Nydia (Gregorio) Alaniz from Edinburg, TX, Lionel (Claudia) Perez from Mission, TX, Veronica (Juvenal) Villarreal from Houston, TX, Monica Perez from McAllen, TX, Liza Garza from Edinburg, TX, and Loreen (Benito) Garcia from Rio Grande City, TX; sixteen (16) grandchildren: Kevin James Alaniz, Roxanna Alaniz, Katie Joanna Alaniz, Lionel Isaiah Perez, Maiah Alessia Perez, Ataliah Rubee Perez, Olympiah Jade Perez, Jakob Villarreal, Savannah Renay Villarreal, Eduardo Angel Silva, Oscar Garza III, Evelin Marie Garza, Melaina Linay Garcia, Yasleen Anahi Garcia, Nayleth Itzel Garcia, Aislari Mabel Garcia; 5 great-grandchildren: Jenesis Janelle Alaniz, Cheyenne Helena Alaniz, Alayna Diana Sanchez, Ryleigh Rose Reyna, Maylinn Lae Alvarado; his sister, Yolanda (Perez) Escalante; extended family member, Cynthia “Pimpis” Vargas, and countless nephews, nieces and many other loved ones. He will forever be in our hearts and missed very much everyday.
He lived a full life just the way he wanted with his vices and we know that he is now resting peacefully ATM.
